Jess Williams

Jess is a native Chicagoan.  He attended Chicago Public Schools and Chicago Teachers College and subsequently embarked on a career in computer programming & systems development.   Jess has also been an entrepreneur. As owner of Third World Imports & Galleries, Jess sponsored the “Third World Art Fairs” in Hyde Park during the 70’s.  Jess currently owns Soundmine (recording) Studios in Chicago, with a focus on recording “Noteworthy History”. Since he took early retirement in the late 1990’s, Jess has pursued his love of jazz by playing trumpet with several big bands. He and his wife, Beth, reside in Hyde Park.
